In April 2019, the «Regional museum Academy-2019» project was launched, the goal of which is to expand the professional horizons of regional museums, strengthen their social role, and familiarize themselves with the best foreign practices. In the process of project implementation, 16 trainers from the number of museum employees of Belarus are trained. They transfer their knowledge and experience to colleagues, becoming a kind of guides in the museum profession for employees of their own and other regional museums.

Within the framework of the Academy this year, four training seminars are provided in Gomel, Polotsk, Brest and Mogilev on topics: cultural memory and museums; museum marketing and communication; design and design of expositions and exhibitions; museum exhibition and educational strategies.

In addition, in October 2019, a group of trainers underwent a 4-day internship in Germany. The academy's teachers were leading museum professionals from Germany and Belarus.

At the end of the project, an international symposium on topical issues of museum business will be held. Academy graduates will receive a certificate.
